NoLOLinHIV is a full blown multimedia campaign to help keep full blown AIDS at bay. Elements of the campaign include a video spot, website, print adverts and a text messaging system. The goal of the campaign is to spread awareness of HIV/AIDS; educating as many youth as possible in revolutionary new ways. NoLOLinHIV’s video spot will be made available to local AIDS Service Organizations (ASO) and cable systems across the country as an educational and informational Public Service Announcement (PSA). The web portion of the campaign will be a tool for ASOs and other HIV/AIDS advocates to pull valuable information from. The print ad side is geared to bulletin boards placed in high-traffic public areas. Finally the text message service will be available to anyone with a cell phone capable of receiving and sending text messages. The end result of NoLOLinHIV is to target the youth audience and spread the message of HIV/AIDS in a unique and powerful manner. NoLOLinHIV is geared to teach young people how to leverage the technology they are using on a daily basis and to engage their peers to disseminate vital HIV/AIDS educational messages in a multi-platform, social advocacy way.

NoLOLinHIV is brought to you by YamiU; an inspiring program designed to promote HIV/AIDS prevention, education and affirmative action in youth. It is a dynamic multimedia campaign developed by Cable Positive. YAMI U will teach young people how to leverage the technology they are using on a daily basis to engage their peers to disseminate vital HIV/AIDS educational messages in the form of a multi-platform social advocacy marketing campaign. YamiU’s awareness campaign will then be made available to local AIDS Service Organizations (ASO) and cable systems across the country as a stand alone campaign free of charge. In addition, YAMI U will offer free of charge, a white paper workbook and an online tool kit to outline the steps of production of a new media campaign. Using these two mediums, ASO’s and cable systems will be able to educate and tailor the HIV/AIDS prevention message to their target populations.
