Global Youth Coalition on HIV/AIDS
GYCA is a youth-led, UNAIDS and UNFPA supported global network of more than 5,000 young leaders and adult allies working on youth and HIV/AIDS in 150 countries world-wide. It was proposed by youth attendees of the XV International AIDS Conference in Bangkok 2004 and XIV International AIDS Conference in Barcelona 2002. GYCA’s mission is to empower young leaders with the skills, knowledge, resources and opportunities they need to scale up HIV/AIDS interventions amongst their peers.
Action AIDS
ActionAIDS is a Philadelphia-based organization in partnership with people living with or affected by HIV/AIDS, works to sustain and enhance quality of life. We provide a range of direct services and take an active and professional approach to leadership in service, education and advocacy. Staff, volunteers and the board of directors are committed to including and assisting people from our heterogeneous community and are responsive to the dynamic needs generated by the epidemic.
AIDS Community Alliance
AIDS Community Alliance (ACA) provides community-based, comprehensive HIV care, housing and education services to individuals, families, and communities impacted by HIV and AIDS. We serve individuals and families throughout south central Pennsylvania.
Founded in 1985 as the Lancaster AIDS Project, AIDS Community Alliance now represents the unification of three of Pennsylvania’s original HIV/AIDS service and education providers — Lancaster AIDS Project (LAP), South Central AIDS Assistance Network (SCAAN), and the AIDS program of Lebanon Family Health Services.
All of the programs began as community-based efforts to address the immediate and growing needs of individuals, families, and communities living with and impacted by HIV. Today, ACA continues this tradition by helping those impacted by HIV and AIDS with compassionate, responsive, and confidential services and education programming.
Ohio AIDS Coalition
The Ohio AIDS Coalition is a non-profit membership organization providing education, leadership training, advocacy, and support for People Living With HIV/AIDS. We are funded in part by grants through the Ohio Ryan White Part B program. Additional funding comes from OAC-sponsored fundraising events, membership dues, private donations and other grants.
OAC’s members are People Living With HIV/AIDS, their loved ones, medical providers, local and state health department officials, social workers, mental health professionals, and other persons affected by the epidemic.
