Hey Parents listen up!
Did you know that 2 teens are infected with HIV every hour? Or that 1 and 5 teens has had sex by the age of 15? Well here is a great opportunity for you and your kids to get info on HIV/AIDS and much more.
Stats show that teens between the ages of 15-24 are at the highest rate of those infected and 25% of those infected don’t even know. This is often due to the fact that most teens lack knowledge and think that they can never contract the virus.
Being that HIV is an extremely sensitive topic, most parents don’t feel comfortable talking to their kids about it because they are not sure how to explain it or think its not something their child doesn’t have to worry about. Reality is HIV still exists and anybody can be at risk. So parents lets step up to the plate and get involved in educating our kids in issues that matter the most before it’s too late they will appreciate it.
